I am an accomplished designer and leader with 20 years of professional experience, and expertise in digital, print, and motion graphic design. Currently, I am the Art Director at Revere Bicycles in Howell, NJ, where I handle branding, e-commerce design, and video advertising for the company’s Amazon presence. I am also Owner and Creative Director at Doug Davala Design LLC, a design shop providing branding, web, and digital marketing design to small businesses.

 

In my career, I have worked in tech, music, education, and print media, and have led successful branding and marketing initiatives by delivering clean, effective creatives. With more than five years’ experience as a team lead, I’m a problem solver, team player, and strong collaborator.

My most recent in-house role was as a creative director at JioSaavn, an NYC- and India-based streaming music service. Over a decade-plus, I helped grow the company from an early-stage startup into one of the world’s largest streaming media platforms, designing creatives engaging over 100 million users. I designed artwork for and collaborated with global icons such as Nas, U2, and Marshmello, while also helping rising artists establish their signature looks and brands.

 

I live in northern New Jersey with my wife and my cat, Uma Purrman. Outside of my office, I’m a mediocre skateboarder and snowboarder, a pretty good bowler, and I watch more true crime and paranormal TV shows than I’d probably like to admit.
